Military One Source

Military One Source
Military OneSource is a free service provided by the Department of Defense to service members and their families. They help with a broad range of concerns including money management, parenting and child care, deployment, relocation, reunion, spouse employment and education and the concerns of families with special-needs members. For more information about what Military OneSource offers,
Free Memberships Are Available to Families of Deployed Members of the Military! The Sarasota Y is participating in the Military Outreach Initiative, launched by YMCA of the USA, the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense.
The program gives spouses and families of deployed military personnel who live far from a military installation free memberships and access to the YMCA's child development, family strengthening, and health and well-being programming.
The Department of Defense will underwrite memberships at participating YMCAs for an initial six-month period for each eligible family and service member. Membership renewals in subsequent six-month intervals (up to 12 or 18 months depending on eligibility) will be funded based on a military family's or service member's ability to meet the participation requirement of eight visits to a YMCA each month and available federal funding.
